We launched our HTML 5 Data Grid in June of this year. With this update, we've extended and refined its capabilities with the following new features.
Master Detail
The name of this feature says it all...The grid now supports master-detail so you can deliver information rich user experiences in your next web app.
Data Summaries
Our HTML 5 Data Grid can now display total and group summary information for all rows within a column. Total summaries are displayed within the grid footer. Group summaries can be displayed within grouped rows or as a group footers.
Input Validation
The Data Grid fully supports DevExtreme's HTML5 Input Validation engine, allowing you to specify rules . The rules can be defined for grid columns directly within the grid’s configuration object.
Additional Enhancements
- New data filter mode: End-users can specify filters for multiple columns and apply them simultaneously.
- New “cell” editing mode: Once end-users edit an individual cell, its input value will be committed to the server immediately.
- Navigation buttons and information on the currently viewed grid page have been added to the pager.
- Improved performance (as a result of partial rendering).
As always, we'd love to hear your thoughts...let us know what you think of these new features.
