As you already know, Vue 2.7 is the latest and ultimate minor release within the Vue 2.x series. There won't be any further updates for this version. This means no additional security patches or fixes for browser compatibility beyond this point.
If security/browser compatibility is of concern to you and if you're using Vue 2.x, please mark December 31, 2023 on your calendar, as Vue 2 is scheduled to reach its end-of-life milestone on this date.
Since security-related matters are of utmost importance to us, we will have to end Vue 2.x support once we release v23.2 (December 2023). When creating an application via DevExtreme CLI, it will be created using Vue 3.x.
Needless to say, we encourage everyone to consider upgrading to Vue 3 as it offers numerous new features (beyond security), ensuring a more future-proof development experience. To migrate to Vue 3, please do follow the official Vue guide: Vue 3 Migration Guide. If you are planning to migrate today, you need only switch to Vue 3 - you don't need to update the DevExtreme component version (if using v22.2 or higher).
Should you have any questions about Vue 3, please submit a support ticket via the DevExpress Support Center.
