We want to thank everyone who voted in our 2019 Roadmap Survey and shared their feedback. The following is a summary of features / capabilities we expect to introduce this year in our Report and Dashboard Server. Please remember that this product is for enterprise users who require a centralized reporting/dashabord platform. Important Note: In nearly every instance, we selected features/products that received the highest vote count. In many instances, total votes for features that appear on this roadmap failed to break the 50% mark. This does not mean that the feature/product did not win the vote - it simply means that it received a plurality - not a majority.
Data Models: Custom SQL Query Support (v19.1)
We will give you the ability to create custom SQL queries.
Document Viewer, Report Designer and Dashboards – Color Schemes (v19.1 and v19.2)
We will allow you to select a color scheme for Document Viewer, Report Designer and the Dashboard component.
Dashboards: Define an Auto-refresh Period (v19.1 and v19.2)
We will allow you to define an auto-refresh period to update Dashboard data in real-time.
Desktop Report Server End-User Report Designer: UI\UX Enhancements (v19.1 and v19.2)
We will update the desktop End-User Report Designer with all UI\UX enhancements introduced in our royalty-free reporting platform (remember, our Report and Dashboard Server is powered by DevExpress Reports).
Database Migration Tool (v19.1 and v19.2)
We will provide a tool that helps you migrate a service product's database from staging to production environments.
.NET Core Support (v19.2)
We will give you the option to host a server-side engine in non-Windows environments. This will give you deployment flexibility including the ability to use cloud-based providers such as Azure’s Container Instances and Amazon’s Elastic Container Service.
Data Models: JSON Data Source Support (v19.2)
This feature received 34% of the vote in our survey
You’ll be able to specify the Web Service Endpoint URI and provide data to reports and dashboards.
Data Models: Object Data Source Support (v19.2)
This feature received 30% of the vote in our survey
You’ll be able to deploy a custom data access assembly and use its methods to provide data to reports and dashboards.
