It's been three years since I last worked for DevExpress. How have you been?
Already almost a month, and I'm only just sitting down to write a first blog post after my return. I was thinking of starting with what happened the past few years and all that... but you know what, I'll leave that for a time when you and I sit down and have a beer. Find me somewhere, say hello and we'll have a drink and reminisce about the past!
Meanwhile, I'm already getting busy. We have announced a bunch of upcoming training classes for the first half of 2013, all of which you can find here. These events take place in the US as well as Europe. Obviously we have to get started somewhere - I can't make promises at this point, but I certainly hope that these classroom training events will become a staple of our overall training efforts, and that we can cover more topics and more locations as we go along.
We will also soon announce a portfolio (or the beginning of one) of online training classes. An online delivery format will allow us to cover more topics and to supply the content equally around the world. These will be recorded video classes of several hours' length. It will take its time, but we hope to achieve good coverage of the DevExpress product suites. As with all things in life, we'll have to prioritize...

Meanwhile, I'm getting ready for a two week trip, involving the German Basta! conference and the upcoming XPO class. (In case you are suddenly very interested in the XPO class, we do have a few final seats available - but be quick!) I hope to see some of you at these events - be sure to say hi!
I'm sure I'll have a great time at DevExpress, I'm excited about my new role and I believe there's a lot we can do. Here's to a fantastic 2013!
